Gothic Vampire Belly Dancer

Like my previous post, this one is about belly dancing. This performance was at the same event, the Durga Tour 2009, as the performance by Shirley in the previous post. The performances that evening were varied greatly in their different flavors. The video below is the only other one I salvaged after the hard drive incident, so I won’t have anymore—two should be enough right? This performance was done by Phedrelora from the Tribal Motion troupe. The sound quality isn’t that great, sorry.

Grandma Shirley Belly Dancing

Posted in life by Jerry on June 7, 2009 No Comments yet

This post is long overdue and almost didn’t happen. Holly and I went to Fort Smith, AR to watch her grandma Shirley dance in a belly dancing show. Holly took lots of video and pictures of the belly dancers in action. I took the picture off the camera and put them on my laptop. Before I got to make this post, my laptop hard drive crashed without warning. I thought I had lost all the video and pictures. :( We came to Alma this weekend and luckily I had forgotten that we also put a copy of all the pictures and video on Grandma Shirley’s computer. I know have a copy again, and this post and the next one (Gothic Belly Dancing) is now possible. :)

Grandma Shirley is a member of the Saffron Moon and Maiden Moon Belly Dance Troupe who hosted The Durga Tour 2009 in Fort Smith, AR. Headlining the event was Tempest and special guests included Tribal Moon, The Lady DragonWing, and Meira Nawal. In the next post I will cover some of the other belly dancing that took place, but this one is all Grandma’s.

Grandma did a great job and looked fabulous in her outfit. She made her outfit and it looked great. Grandma is quite the multi-talented lady. I could tell you how great she did all day, but I have video so I’ll just show you that and let you see for yourself.

I hope you’ve enjoyed. :)
